Perfumery role and uses: A low odour stabilizing and fixative base that increases the viscosity of a fragrance compound with a combination of physical, chemical and layering factors. Used between 1 and 30% compound it can increase the measured viscosity by up to 300% and the odour life of a fragrance compound up to 300 hours on a smelling strip.
